Come in. Mind the bucket.

Dean has spent his whole life around cars. Market stalls, car sales, valeting, then his own car sales business (Just Small Cars of Surrey, later Just Small Cars of Windsor), and short spells as a top salesman at main dealers. Classic cars were the hobby the whole way through: race cars, Jags, and a soft spot for a private plate that suits the car. Now he’s turning the hobby into the business.

It Runs in the Family

Dean’s dad painted Ford GT40s at RE Webbs in Cippenham, Slough, in the early 1970s. Dean grew up with paint, polish and petrol. So did his son.

Father and Son

I’m Ben, Dean’s son. I spent 15 years as a master technician, most of it running my own workshop, before I moved into building with AI. Today I run Ben White AI, and I build sites and systems for businesses up and down the UK.

This one I built for my dad. Classic car people deserve a proper home online: somewhere to find the shows, read the stories and see the cars, run by someone who’s spent his life in the trade. Dean brings the knowledge and the contacts. I bring the tech.

Out Most Weekends

From spring to autumn Dean is at a UK classic car show most weekends. Sometimes he hands out the trophies. Mostly he walks the lines, talks to owners and takes the photos you see on this site.

Dean’s Own Cars

A black 1955 Ford Consul Mk1 drophead. Dark red leather, walnut dash.

Both get used. The Consul has been to Brooklands and outside more than one pub.

A Proper Finish

Dean does the detailing himself: paint touch-ups, wheel refurbs, the lot. Bigger paint and dent work goes to specialists he trusts. If a car on this site looks right, that is why.

It’s Who You Know

In the classic world, the right specialist makes all the difference. Buy a Granada, need a trimmer, and you can end up paying over the odds for a poor job, when a better one was a phone call away across the country.

Dean has spent decades getting to know the people who do it properly. Over time, we’d like this site to put you in touch with them.

This is Rod, a friend of Dean’s and a regular at the shows, usually somewhere near the cars and the tea. Ask anyone who goes most weekends and they’ll tell you the company matters as much as the cars.
